My family spent Memorial Day weekend in Amelia Island. We spent one evening 'downtown' and had dinner at LuLu's. Everyone in our group (about 10 of us - all ages) absolutely loved LuLu's. The food was amazing. We didn't order one thing that we didn't love. And we tried almost everything given the size of our group. While the food has an elevated feel to it the atmosphere is very laid back. Perfect combination in our minds for vacation in Florida!

Outstanding food. We vacation to Amelia, and tried LuLu's on our last trip. I highly recommend it, the food and service are fantastic. The chef spoke with us at our table about his table and food in general, it was a great experience. I highly recommend the crab cake. The chef and owners are from Maryland, and brought with them their perfect crab cake recipe.

Wow what a Po' Boy......great place....Rock Shrimp were in season...sweet...and juicy
(5)Neila Z.
You have to search this place out .... SO worth it. Locally sourced, terrific menu options. Just cute!

First time guest even though we come here often as part time residents. Have heard many good things and wanted to go for lunch. Shrimp and grits piqued my curiosity, disappointed when it wasn't on the lunch menu....much to my satisfaction the waitress said they could make it for me. I was not disappointed any longer and elated when she served my entree. Sauce makes the dish. This sauce has a creole flavor to enhance the ingredients. Just perfect!! My wife had a nicely dressed salad with rock shrimp, very light dressing so you could taste the lettuce and shrimp. Total thumbs up here!! First of many more visits to come.

This was our first time here and had seen the great reviews. I'm hoping it was just an off night. While it wasn't horrible it wasn't great either. The food was pretty good, but they seemed to be struggling on the service side of things. We waited 10 minutes before our waitress arrived to take drink orders. It took another 10 minutes to get a drink menu for my wife. They were sold out of the steak special I wanted. And they were out of ketchup for kids meals (3 kids dining with us). They did manage to pull together enough for them to get the taste of it on their food. Food was pretty good. Just a lot of little, negative things with the dining experience. Probably just an off night given the positive reviews from everyone else.

My girlfriend and I had brunch here...INCREDIBLE! Very cute decor with a friendly atmosphere and excellent service! Our waitress was beyond friendly, did an amazing job of making sure we had everything we needed and wasn't overbearing at all. Saying that the food was delicious, would be an understatement! Lulu's Benedict and French toast were wonderful and they had mimosas. I would highly recommend eating here!
(5)Lori H.
We happened in Lulu's on Thursday night, 2 adults and 6 and 9 yr olds. Our server was delightful, super informative and accommodating to the kids. I had a nice rose, hubby had a Hefeweizen, we started with fried calamari with Thai chili sauce and sriracha glaze, delish and kids enjoyed bites without much of the hot sauce. Hubby got seafood medley in a red curry sauce with jasmine rice, very fresh and cooked perfect.i had a mixed green salad with roasted sweet potato, blue cheese, candied pecans and I added blackened shrimp, which were super fresh and tender!! Kid had grilled fish tacos and loved them. Chef came out twice to ask how everything was, all in all great dinner in cool, eclectic spot with tons of local flavor!
(5)David C.
We didn't have reservations so our party of eight was seated outside. With two young children this worked out great. They were able to play in the garden and outside eating area while the adults enjoyed their wine. The waitress and all employees were extremely friendly and the food was great. I highly recommend the PoBoys and the mac and cheese. Good stuff! Will definitely try again when we get back down to Fernandina.
(4)Gizelle A.
Wow what a low key location and look and what amazing food! After getting just drinks at the waterfront diner, we were walking around and looking for a casual lunch place. Stumbled across LuLu and immediately noticed the high ratings on Yelp. The outdoor dining area is non smoking (thank goodness!!) so we have it a try. We both got a PoBoy shrimp sandwich except mine was grilled and my husband's was fried. We both absolutely loved them! I've had PoBoys in New Orleans but I must say I liked this one better. The bread, the shrimp, the everything! I also had a house salad which was generous, fresh and nice. The wine glass is a large pour too! We may actually come back to Amelia Island just for that PoBoy!
(5)Lori D.
Lulu's was recommended to us by a friend. The oyster & shrimp po boys were outstanding! The baguettes were chewy, the gulf seafood was fresh, and the Sriracha sauce was the perfect touch. They were better than the po' boys we've had in New Orleans! The Cajun potato salad was the perfect accompaniment. Lulus is a charming, shabby chic cafe right off of Centre Street.
(5)Kelli M.
Amazing food and service. It was probably our best meal on the island. We really enjoyed their caprese, scallops, and shrimp and grits. The kids even enjoyed their grilled cheese. We will definitely be back!!
(5)David H.
Good food, ok service, but overpriced, not worth nearly $30/plate. Not enough space to sit inside, had to sit outside and use their bug spray to keep from getting eaten up by the no-see-ums.
(3)Courtney M.
Head to LuLu's for the BEST seafood poboy you will ever have. If they have them in season, get the fried rock shrimp - those sweet little shrimp are an adult version of popcorn shrimp. So good! They don't skimp on the seafood either! Great portions! The bread is what really sets their poboy apart from the rest - the bread is fluffy and slighty moist, very fresh, yet still maintains that crunch you find in New Orleans style poboys. The restaurant itself is a bit small and indoor seating is extremely limited. If you come during peak hours during the summer busy season, expect a bit of a wait. I suggest coming during the week for a late lunch and you'll have your pick of seating, indoor or patio.
(5)K V.
I'd probably go with 4.5 stars but my wife said that her scallops were the best she's had since 15-years ago at some no-named restaurant in the middle of nowhere on the Baja Peninsula (she gave me one-- they were pretty great) so I'll go with 5 and say this was our best meal in a week on the Island. Shrimp and grits were really good, and they've got a kid's menu to keep the kids happy (and service was pretty quick- also a plus with kids at the table!)
(5)Teri H.
Excellent everything! From Fish tacos to key lime pie and coffee. Wonderful friendly service and atmosphere inside and out.
(5)Greg R.
Good as usual. Grouper sandwich, hush puppies and potato salad was outstanding. Both my wife and I had the same thing. Her sandwich was grilled and mine blackened. They got it right! Dessert was a blueberry cobbler with ice cream. I would've given 5 stars had the ice cream been homemade. Server was outstanding. Owners floated around to check on us. If you're in Amelia Island, this is a must.
(4)Brian K.
The food was very good. It is clear they take great pride. Dinner was pricey, and so I wouldn't bring my kids here again. The patio atmosphere was very nice.
(4)Bianca B.
Delicious food, great, super friendly service and a casual Key West feel. Get the rock shrimp po boy when it's available/in season. The crab cake sandwich was delicious as well! Would definitely come again next time we're in town. Only complaint someone brought some floor mats out and sprayed them with some cleaning/mildew killing spray that had an awful scent that doesn't go well with lunch! lol But not taking any stars off for that because everything else was great.
(5)LaToya R.
This is the best and most flavorful food on the island. The dining experience is very pleasant...al fresco style, very friendly service, the chef lives next door and comes out to check on you. The only reasons I didn't give it five stars: 1. the dinner menu is pricey, but on par with what you'll spend on a dining experience on amelia island. The food was delicious and so I didnt lament on the $97 we spent on 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, and two drinks. 2. The portions are small considering the price you pay. I had the pecan encrusted grouper and sauce piquant with a grit cake and fresh vegetables. He had the scallops with the bacon and corn saute. We shared the calamari appetizer. Nothing but compliments to the chef and staff! Overall, they have the best offering for the money that we found on our trip to Amelia. Would definitely go again.
(4)Garrick C.
Fried oysters and crab cake to start were very good. Oysters were fresh and crab cake was very tasty and not much filler if any. Everything else was better than average and we would definitely return if we are in the area again.
(4)Becca B.
Great little outside dining area if you're there on the right night. The crab cakes left a lot to be desired. Being from Maryland, I am extremely judgmental about crab cakes though. The Mac and Cheese was great. Thick and creamy, served with penne. The service was great. Sometimes being outside you can be forgotten but our server was very attentive and funny. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We were here for almost 2 hours (work dinner), and would definitely go back.
(4)Renji V.
Had the grouper sandwich which was excellent. Also tried the mussels which came with a spicy sauce that was excellent as well.
(5)Chip C.
Best shrimp and grits on the island! I come here for the shrimp and grits every time friends visit. They do have a lot of mosquitos in the evening so eat inside if that bugs you.
(5)Matt H.
Delicious crab cake sandwich! You would never see this place walking by, but what a nice hidden gem! Went back for Shrimp po boy and it was very good. Look forward to eating here every time we visit Amelia Island.
(5)Rick B.
First time in the Fernandina Beach area, checked into hotel and used Yelp to check front desk restaurant recommendations. All those recommendations looked horrible, but read the reviews of LuLu's and decided to head over. Tuesday night about 9pm, we walked in and found a great outdoor area with about half the tables full. Very affordable wine list (beer/wine only), and great recommendations from waiter. I had a crusted grouper and my wife the ahi tuna, both outstanding. Casual, affordable and excellent food/service, perfect vacation restaurant.
(5)Linda B.
Cute little place in Fernandina, but today was not the day for brunch! I was very excited by the reviews, but I cannot agree with any of them, the food was awful! I got the crab cake Benedict which looked really nice. That was all that was good about it. It wasn't hot (thermally), when I cut into the egg it didn't run at all! The yolks were both over cooked and rubbery. The crab cake tasted ok but I'm sure it would have been better HOT, there was a lot if crabmeat but unfortunately it was quite dry even with the hollandaise, which again not hot. Honey got andouille sausage pontalbo, which unfortunately the sausage was uneatable. This stuff was so hard I thought he was gonna need a dentist. I am not a chef, or a cook, I'm a fat kid who loves food. It did not take a genius to know this brunch was way over priced for the quality of food we were served. The place was full and some of the dishes on other tables looked really good, but let me assure you looks are deceiving. The staff wasn't very attentive and did not seem happy to see us walk in the door. They just continued their conversation as if we didn't just walk into the place. I'm sure they so something very well, because the place was pretty full, they just didn't choose to share any of their good stuff with us on that day.

We live in Fernandina Beach and ate at Lułu's for the first time tonight. Both of our meals were great and the service was excellent. The ambience was really nice, too. We'll definitely be back.
(4)Dane F.
Great food!!! Great atmosphere! Shrimp and grits where the best I have ever had!!! Courtney gave outstanding service
(5)Karolyn L.
This is a great little spot! We went for brunch and were very pleased. Great service and delicious food!
(4)Mariko S.
Not the best place for me. Saw the review. Really wanted to go. The picture looks good. We went after the beach. I had cover up and bathing suit under. Maybe that was the problem. I don't know. Didn't know it was kinda fancy place ... We got seated outside. The place was cute and boutique defiantly love the decorations. Took a little while for the server to show up. The menu was... Fancy. I personally like simple good food. It was pricy. We ordered NY strip which was $34 came with pretty awesome potato salad and fresh vedge. Still doesn't worth the price. And ordered shrimp Mac and cheese with bacon bits and sun dried tomato. $28. Again not worth it. Then it rain. The other two table was directed to be seated inside. The guy didn't really seems to care for us much. He did ask us if we were OK. (The rain was passing ) but didn't really care to seat us inside like the other tables. They weren't the friendliest. The server never refilled our drinks. We thought maybe its because we weren't dress right. We sure don't look like a business owner. ... We had to hunt pur server down just to even pay for our meal. Over all. Like the fancy smancy atmosphere... Don't care for the customer service. (I really do think it was the way we dress .... Well... Oops. Didn't know we were suppose to look dress up?) Food is over price. More and likely won't go back. Not for us.
(2)Catherine A.
Food is on point. Servers weren't the friendliest but food quality is superior. No tourist trap here. Crab cake was slightly smaller than softball, slightly bigger than tennis ball....packed with crab. Fried oysters were good size & perfectly fried. PO-Boy the cat will greet you. Very small inside but food is why we dine, not room size.
(5)Joey V.
Flat out delicious... The bone in chop in mustard sauce and dirty rice has me contemplating a second order. Will be back for sure. Nice hidden gem with friendly staff and never empty water glass! Roll me out of here...
(5)Elizabeth M.
Very disappointing! Slow service, bland food and overpriced. Much better meals at other restaurants in town.
(2)Rob S.
Stopped in for lunch. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a fish poboy and a shrimp poboy. The fish and shrimp were good. The shrimp especially had a see through breading on it. The bread wasn't bad but could have been better. The thing that was awesome was the grain mustard potato salad. I'm glad they gave us a small side portion beacause I would have eaten everything they dished out. We'll be back. It is a cozy spot, nice staff and I sense some talent in the kitchen way beyond what we sampled so far.
(3)Sarah B.
DELISH! My boyfriend and I had to sneak in a speedy lunch between his conference calls. The place had a great vibe, and the waitress took wonderful care of us, getting us in and out in a jiffy. And what tasty sandwiches! We had the blackened grouper and the portabello, both really scrumptious. Make sure to ask for their fantastic sriracha sauce:P
(5)M M.
Had the Rock shrimp Po Bo sandwich and it was good, but the very best was the Creme brûlée. Best ever! My husband said the key lime pie was good also.
(4)Julia Wren A.
My husband and I had dinner tonight and I was disappointed. My husband had a piece of fish that was full of little bones. I had oysters that had no flavor. The green beans were burned as well as the hush puppies. The owner was visiting tables but skipped ours. Even though the menu was interesting and the service was adequate, we won't be back.
(2)Mary L.
We stopped here for lunch after walking on the beach. There is plenty of patio seating as well as a small inside dining area. We started off with the caprese salad which included fried mozzarella which was a fun twist on a classic salad. For lunch we both had the daily special which was rock shrimp po' boys. The shrimp was fresh and cooked perfectly. Lori was our server and she was excellent. She is also very knowledgable about the local area. It was a great lunch and we will definitely be back.

After our last expectation exceeding experience, I came back to Lulu's the first chance I got. Three months later, tonight was the night. As we were making our way to the table I saw our waitress from our first visit and hoped we would enjoy her great personality and superb service again tonight. We had the pleasure of top notch care from a new friend tonight but our old friend came by to say hello and welcome us back. That's how you build customers for life. One visit three months ago and they are treating us like old friends. I love this place before I even started my second meal. Drinks arrived in short order. Great wine and beer selection improved since last time. Fried oyster and calamari appetizers lived up to my recollections. Tasty. Even the picky 12 yeat old son liked a few bites of calamari but the rest of us ate up the tasty treat before he could get seconds. A main course of glorious arrived next. Mom and Daughter demolished their giant scallops. Two members of the clean plate club were smiling over their dinner. Pop enjoyed one of his favorite dishes as tonight's special was softshell crab. Delish but he wasn't man enough to finish his big portion. My bone in pork chop with mustard cream sauce was spot on with perfectly cooked fingerling potatoes and roasted corn. Meanwhile the picky 12 year old son gets a perfect plain bowl of penna pasta with parmesan cheese and his brother enjoys a fried shrimp basket I'm thinking I might want next time. Elegant to basic the kitchen and staff exceeded expectations. That's where the magic happens. Even with my lofty expectations after our first visit when they hit a homerun, the crew at Lulu's loaded the bases and spanked a grandslam out of the park tonight.

I have seen this place and even read all the reviews for this place. I wanted to go so bad for a really long time. Now I wish we would have waited a little longer. In a word this visit sucked from start to finish. First we walked in and the 2 ladies standing a few feet in front of us acted like we weren't even there. One looked at us and smiled. Not saying a word. Another young lady walked in the door and asked can I help you. We at down and waited again for someone to ask us for anything. So we got drink and later ordered. I got the Andouille Pontalbo and the Crab Cake Benedict. First the crab cake had a lot of crab but needed more seasonings and some were really dry. The pouched egg didn't act like it was pouched today. it was hard and not just one of the eggs but all four on both dishes. Now my dish was horrible. The only thing that wasn't over cooked was dang near raw. The andouille sausage was cooked over it was too hard to chew, really. The dish was hard to eat and our server didn't even ask if there was anything wrong. If you see the pictures you can see the dish I received and what I left. I normally give a place another shot but my list of places to eat here in Fernandina is pretty long so I can't say we will be back anytime soon. :(

We recently wen to LuLu's for brunch on a Sunday morning. There were 4 of us, and we went around 10:30 AM, so the restaurant was still pretty quiet, which is great. It's a small cute place. We opted to sit inside but can see the charm of outside seating when it's not too hot. The service was good and the food was decent. I just didn't fall in love with the food. Maybe I had high expectations because of various reviews, I was looking forward to be blown away by their food. I had their French toast, which for $9 a plate, was well... A OK. My husband's Andouille Pontalba was pretty tasty. Anyways, I think mainly, for the establishment (small, cozy hole-in-the-wall joint), I think if the price was lowered slightly, it could push me over the fence and become more of a fan.
(3)David L.
Came here with my family. We sat on the outside patio with candle lights. Very nice ambiance. It is connected to an old house which is pretty cool as well. Started off with the calamari. WOW! It was great. It was not super crispy and full of breading. It was covered in a delicious sauce and the calamari had a great texture. The Po Boys, Shrimp Tacos, And Crab Burger was delicious. I will return on my next trip to Amelia Island!
(5)Joy C.
This was a great surprise. Our friends had picked this spot for dinner on our last night in Amelia Island. The service was excellent. It's the kind of place where the owners stop buy the table to check on you and tell you about the food your are eating. Let's talk about the food...The only time our loud group of 6 was quiet was when the food came. We ordered a few different apps. The cheese plate was amazing. My husband enjoyed the pulled pork eggroll. The calamari was perfect. Oh my god the crab cake was AMAZING! Then came dinner! We all had a bite of everyone's plate it was all so good. Hand down my favorite my shirmp and grits. These aren't your normal grits. It is a grit cake made with Anson Mills grits (I had to ask), set up, then deep fried. Seriously, the best grits I have ever had in my life. This dish was pure perfection. After that moment I knew I would be back the next day for brunch. Sunday we showed up for brunch! My husband had the eggs benedict with fried oysters. I had the eggs benedict with the crab cake. Again, they knocked it out of the park. To wonderful meals her in less than 24 hours. I still have dreams of those grit cakes, and random cravings. I have ordered my Anson Mills grits and hope to recreate this perfect meal at home, but I know it will never be as good as it was at LuLu's.

Based on the amazing reviews, we were excited to try LuLu's - but we were a bit disappointed. We ate there for dinner a little late (~8:30ish) - the place was empty and the servers seemed rushed to be done for the night. The ambiance is a little bland - I felt like we were eating in a driveway (which i guess, technically - we were). The food was yummy, though - I had the "Love on a Plate" - which was a roasted pepper stuffed with cherry tomatoes and chilis w/ olive oil atop a grilled ciabatta w/ arugula and mozzarella. My parents had the Shrimp Po' Boy and Crab Cake, which they both enjoyed.

My husband and I visited this little gem prior to tying the knot on Cumberland Island this past May. Always a challenge when near the shore to find a great place to eat that does not turn out to be a disappointing tourist trap. LuLu's is anything but! Anytime I phone a restaurant to inquire as to wether I should have a reservation or not, and the answer is "when you plan on visiting, because we will have soft shelled crabs coming in around 2."... I'm already smitten. Where to begin? The atmosphere, perfect. Cute little bistro tables next to the herb garden and a climbing fig vine with a view of the historic Victorians lining the quiet side street. The staff, beyond charming. Warm, welcoming, accommodating, and most importantly happy to be there. (Picture attentive servers & engaging owners laughing with friends in between stopping by customers tables). The food, a ten! The soft shell crab was so fresh and prepared just right! Everything else was delicious too! I dream of this quaint gem anytime I find my myself in a boring subpar dining establishment to this day.
(5)Lucia D.
Went there on an off-season Saturday. The weather was cold and windy but the little place was warm and inviting. The food was very tasty the waitress was prompt and I would go back there again
(4)Maria M.
Shrimp and grits.... nuff said. Ok if you want me to expand.. first of, the shrimp and grits weren't on the menu when we got there. But we've read so much about it that we decided to ask if they had it.... they did! Yay! It was absolutely delicious. So savory with lots and lots of shrimp and sausage. Sooo good! I absolutely loved everything about it. My husband tried the shrimp po' boy but the grits were so good, I didn't care much for the loaded shrimp sandwich. The hubs thought it was pretty good.. but not awesome he says. The owner came out to greet us and made sure we were enjoying ourselves... that's always a thumbs up for me. =) Go you! Bottom line: go here and order shrimp and grits.. you will not be disappointed.
(5)Carolyn S.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Very friendly staff. Rock shrimp poboy and key lime pie were outstanding. Crab cake sandwich was good, but not as memorable as the other items. An experience you must try if in the area!

I loved the outdoor setup! From the gravel walkway to the string lights and candles in hurricane vases, it is my kind of place! Our dinner entrees were unique and delicious. I was impressed by the green pea and corn gnocchi with flounder. My fiancé was disappointed by the small amount of tasty alligator sausage in his entree which also included scallops and andouille sausage. We loved the friendly cat, too. It is a pricey restaurant but I don't mind supporting local, talented cooks who prepare seasonal dishes. Dinner for two without drinks will likely be about $60.
(4)Henry H.
This casual restaurant is tucked away and tiny. Service is very friendly. As others have noted, Brian truly comes out to greet the patrons and check on the meals. Our party was seated outside in the "car port" on wrought iron chairs. Linens covered the tables and the multiple heat lamps made the cooler temps bearable. Started off with fried oysters which were presented in a very interesting manner. It's the ceramic cone in the wire holder that took us by surprise. The calamari was tasty with the siracha-like base although I'm not convinced the squid was fresh. The crab cake was tasty, this from people who have easy access to Chesapeake Bay crab cakes. But alas, the menu does change! There were no oyster po'boys on the menu. Our diners really wanted the alligator sausage with scallops but were told they were out of scallops. So one ordered grouper Portuguese style with peppers in light sauce. The other ordered the grouper served another way with polenta instead. Both were quite pleased although they each kept insisting the other had his dish. The Mac and cheese was done well according to another in our party. Fortunately, the alternate alligator option also turned out to be tasty. Thai seafood dish was flavorful and included the scallops they were out of. You should have heard the cries of "foul!" when the rest of the table saw those succulent shellfish in the bowl. However, I was disappointed by the oft raved about shrimp and grits. One Yelper described the grit cake well. It's fried and has the same consistency as a polenta cake, and less like the creamy version you see in southern establishments. The shrimp are local and plentiful in this dish. My problem was with the consistency of and amount of sauce; it was thinner than I liked and there was a lot of it. And there was a slight flavor much like that of unwashed rice - if you're Asian, you may understand this - that lingered in the mouth but didn't suit me. Overall, dinner was okay. Creative and thoughtfully presented, although we felt it was a little pricier than other available options in the area.
(3)Karissa D.
Delish and charming! Try a bowl of the seafood chowder. Some of the best we have ever had and well worth the $10.
(5)A J.
Delicious! Looked this little gem up on yelp prior to coming. The positive reviews are not misleading. I split the shrimp and grits with my sister. There was more than enough for two girls. Just a little spice, sausage and lots of shrimp! The grits were fluffy and lightly fried on the outside with a delectable cream sauce. My other sister got a shrimp po boy that was amazing! Service was excellent! Would definitely come back!!
(5)Toni M.
Delicious rock shrimp po boy. The bread was even heavenly fresh!!
(5)Sarah K.
Just passed through Amelia island and was saved from eating at Brett's on the pier by a dissatisfied diner. Found this cute little hidden gem on yelp. It's tiny with only 7 tables but very cozy with an extensive menu. Had the shrimp and grits...wow! This is one of my favorite dishes when dining in charleston and the low country. This place serves it so uniquely and with abundant flavor! The grits are in a patty that's fried with the most amazing flavor. The grits in the middle of the patty soak up the Cajun creamy spicy sauce perfectly. The shrimp were fresh and the andouille sausage added a nice kick. A must try! The owner/chef? came around each table to make sure everyone was satisfied. He seemed to know all the guests at 2 of the tables and had a friendly conversation with them, even including his son in the convo who was just arriving home. Very cute place with yummy food!

My husband and I ate at LuLu's on July 5th while vacationing on Amelia Island. We made reservations two days before without issue. We were glad to sit outside in one of the two small enclosed dining areas. Although the weather had been hot that day, the evening was very comfortable. The food at LuLu's was some of the best we've eaten. However, they should have 86'd the pear salad instead of serving it to us. Quite a lovely salad, but it only contained 3 tiny pieces of chopped pear. They should have stopped serving it or renamed it vinaigrette salad with blue cheese. We also had the calamari with peppers for our other appetizer. It had a great Thai style sauce that was sweet and delicious. For entrees, my husband ordered the shrimp and grits which he loved. LuLu's take on this favorite was a grit cake surrounded by large prawns, andouille sausage and a cream sauce. I ordered the salmon which was perfectly grilled and topped with a lovely fresh salad of micro greens, grapes and lemon. It was spectacular. For dessert, they only and 3 items left on the menu. We ordered the blueberry cobbler. Much like the pear salad, they should have either 86'd it or renamed the dish fresh blueberries ala mode. There was a 2x2 square of cobbler in a huge plate of fresh berries and ice cream. And it was sooooo good. If only the piece was a little bigger. Boo. Overall, food was awesome, although two of the dishes had to have been the last of the night. Our server, Becky, was very friendly, but the service was slow. This was fine for us, but if you're in a hurry, you might get a bit crabby waiting. We would definitely go back if we ever return to Amelia Island.
(4)Jennifer W.
Delicious food. The crab cakes are to die for. Definitely try the calamari. We always make sure to eat at Lulu's whenever we are visiting Amelia Island!!! YUM!!!
(5)Jeff A.
We went here on short notice and were able to get a last minute reservation. The food was excellent and they accommodated my wife's Celiac disease (no Gluten) very well. She had the Caprese salad. She can't have the cheese fried so they made her a more traditional Caprese salad. I had a spinach salad that was fantastic and followed that with the Penne pasta with shrimp and scallops. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. I will say that our server was a little off his game, but we were not in a hurry.

I consider myself a very Lucky person when it comes to dining out. Its rare that we pick a place to eat and we are disappointed. We do a lot of research and check on reviews prior to going to most places, in and out of town. Lulu's was on my radar before we even left Austin. and so when one of our travel mates picked Lulu's for our last group dinner I was excited. We arrived for our reservation and were sat promptly. The interior of the restaurant has a very cozy feeling to it. Almost like you are eating in someones home. although compact, we felt very comfortable. After being greeted by the one of the owners, who broke down the special for us, our server, BRIAN was at our table taking drink orders. Right off the bat I liked the guy and I couldnt quite put my finger on it, but I felt a kinship with him. Turns out he was from Austin, or at least lived there and knew one of our friends from town...Small World. So back to the dining experience..... We order a few appetizers for the table: A Carolina Egg roll with pulled pork, A cheese plate: Maytag Bleu, 12 month manchego and chevre, Hand Cut Calamari Rings with Anaheim Chili Peppers-Flash fried and tossed with Thai sweet chili sauce, and Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Served with old bay remoulade the size of a softball. ALL WERE AMAZING, especially the cheese plate. For entrees the table order several items and since I tried each one I will list them: A Mac n Cheese with Shrimp and a bunch of other awesome things I cant recall right now, A Shrimp and sea scallop Thai Inspired dish, a shrimp Diane, A Shrimp and Grits with possibly the best Grits cake we have ever had, made from Anson Mills Yellow corn meal, and I had a Wild caught Catfish with a Crawdad etouffee. The meal was amazing, and as we perused the menu for other items, we noticed that they did Brunch on Sunday's. We were already thinking about finding a place to eat Brunch the next day, so we made the reservation that night and returned the next morning. Brian the owner and Brian the server, along with Jason the cook and the Wife which I dont remember her name were awesome and made us feel Like Locals. In fact after checking in twice in two days on Yelp, I was crowned Duke and a Regular..... So Amelia Island has an array of amazing choices for food, but you have to Make Lulu's a must stop for lunch, dinner or sunday Brunch. Tell them ODIE sent you....

We really enjoyed our dinner here. We did not have reservations the day after Valentine's but were seated right away. The calamari was great. Our entrees were fresh and wonderful. Service was outstanding - very personable. One of the better meals of our trip.

Tried lulus last evening on a recommendation from our hotel. Had the scallops and friend had red curry with mixed seafood. This place rocks. The scallops were perfectly seared and my friends curry dish had LOTS of high quality seafood in it. Going to go back for po'boys before we leave for home. Definitely recommend. Call ahead to get inside seats. Can get busy at dinner.

I visited Fernandina Beach over a year ago and I'm still dreaming about Lulu's po' boy sandwich. Wonderful. Delightful. Delicious. Brian is a great guy who's more than happy to talk to you. I can't recommend it enough.

On a rainy Friday afternoon, we stumbled upon Lulu's at Thompson House, on a side street from the historical downtown area. Given the weather we opted for a seat indoors in the small dining area. We started with the Calamari in Thai sweet n' sour sauce, with okra. Delicious. My husband had the crab cake little plate, which he declared was the best crab cake he has ever had. The presentation was lovely too, on a modern square plate and an artful array of the dipping sauces. I had the Nicoise Salad but with grilled salmon rather than tuna. It was fresh and delicious, with a homemade raspberry vinagrette dressing. We also shared a bottle of Sauvingon Blanc from New Zealand that was crisp and dry. All together, it was a delightful meal. Not super fancy, but totally satisfying.

This was our third stop at Lulu's and we were just as pleased as after our first. We stopped in for lunch (wonderful Seafood Bisque) and some fried oysters and made reservations for dinner. Our reservation was for 8 PM and we were seated promptly by our friendly server and never felt rushed. Our meals (Shrimp and Grits and Portuguese Style Red Snapper) were delicious and the appetizer (fried eggplant) was over the top. The owner personally stopped by our table to ask us if everything was to our satisfaction. We will certainly make a point to stop in again when in town.

This was a great lunch spot near the beach. The food was excellent, service was good, and the outdoor seating was nice.
(5)Deb C.
Great service and atmosphere - quaint and homey. Small but with outdoor heated seating. Creole twists on entrees. I'd come back!
(4)JoAnn T.
Oh oh oh. I can't wait to go back. I'm not going to tell you all about it. You gave to experience it for yourself. Surprise!!
(5)Nicole S.
Nice lunch - friendly service and food was tasty with fresh ingredients. Seafood Chowder was delicious. Crab Cakes with salads light and scrumptious. Will try again for brunch.
(4)Alden G.
Clearly a local favorite judging by the crowd. Friendly place. Tried shrimp and grits, plus Banana fish (mahi mahi baked in banana leaves.) Everything was great. Fun to sit outside by the herb garden in front. Ask for the seat cushions! Wine and beer only. Reservations suggested, though not required.
(5)Deborah S.
Very friendly staff, good food, amble outdoor seating. Haven't been for dinner yet but I got the impression they are a "New Orleans" style restaurant - however the food lacked spicy and real flavor. I wasn't blown away by the food and thought it was a little overpriced but otherwise not bad. Not a fan of the smoking outside. :/

I am so very charmed by Lulu's -- it's everything you could ever want as a New Yorker visiting Amelia Island. The atmosphere embraces you with warm, sincere hospitality -- and if you're in the back patio area like we were, it is also wonderfully romantic. Yet, even more so, it has a unique personality all its own -- and even the wait staff are somehow as familiar as old friends, while still maintaining a high quality of service, and in depth knowledge of the menu. And of course, the food! Oh the food! The food is exceptionally good -- flavorful, whimsical plates, sourced from local, top quality ingredients and expertly prepared into inspired yumminess. We were surprised by the exuberant depth of each dish -- even the house salad was not your hum drum version, but incorporated a lovely variety of lettuces and seasonal vegetables. We also were impressed with the local seafood dishes, especially the fish tacos. They were succulent and flavorful and very generously portioned. Also of note: the pie. I can't remember what it was called, but it involved a fresh banana layer and a toffee custard layer and A LOT of whipped cream. It was the stuff dreams are made of. The owner, Brian, came by the table and was very friendly and charming. He told us where to get the best old fashioned cocktail in town (The Sheffiled) and also were to get the best breakfast the next morning (T-Rays). He also gave us great advice on off the beaten path areas to visit during our stay. All in all, Lulu's is one of my favorite memories from my trip to Amelia Island, and I will be back there just as soon as I can!
(5)C B.
Appetizers and sandwiches were good. The orders from the dinner entree list were overdone and not as good as the basics. Stick with sandwiches and salads and you will be pleased.

Mmmm. We went off campus from the Ritz, and boy were we impressed! It''s a great atmosphere and the food is dynamite!
(5)Alex T.
Based on the excellent reviews, we thought our trip to Lulu's for brunch would be fantastic. It was a huge disappointment. Our party of six (included 3 kids) were all bummed. Plus, the service was terrible. We've never seen a more unpleasant waitress. Save yourself the trip and go to Kelley's Cafe a few blocks away (trust me - I have no affiliation to Kelley's. We just enjoy their food, staff, and atmosphere).
(1)Harel R.
Had the fish tacos. For $12, got 2 tacos with a whole grilled grouper fillet split between them. The sauces made them delicious! Served w red beans and rice. Fantastic!
(5)Bill T.
We ate here on Saturday and they had a truncated menu for the Shrimp festival. The crab cake sandwich was awesome, the crab cake was more crab than filler and the spice palate was simple and delicious. The shrimp po' boy was very tasty too. The shrimp were big and fresh and lightly battered. The only downside was the overly soft roll used for the shrimp sandwich. Also, the service and the way they handled drinks was awkward at best. I definitely want to get back here one day for their regular menu.
(4)Garrett B.
Because of the fact it was inside what looked to be a garage, my family and I were tempted to go against the great reviews and find another place to eat. I'm glad I pressured them to give it a try, the food was fantastic, rightly portioned and bursting with flavor. Trust our experience and try this place out!
(4)Jane D.
Nice atmosphere if you want a quaint quiet place to eat, as of you were eating on your neighbor's back porch. Shrimp taco was bland but salmon had a kick. Shrimp & grits was on a grit cake-not the way they serve them in SC. Staff was very friendly & efficient & welcomed special requests.

I jetted down to the island, to help the most interesting man in the world with his technique for high risk stand up paddle boarding. I dropped in to LuLu's because I had to have some shrimp n grits. Now that you know more about me, here is the review. The decor is a weird mashup of Creole meets crab shack. I only wish it better lived up to the potential of being a residential garage. Creole should be done with more sophistication than this, Cajun should be less arty, less expensive, I think. Service was good. The menu is long, kinda foody without being specific, like what kind of pepper is stuffed in Love On a Plate? Pimento? Anyway, wading right in, this dish with the over the top name is just OK. Pepper was roasted, barely, so no roasty flavors, basic cherry tomatoes, too many capers, way too much arugula. Left me kinda wondering what love is? The shrimp and grits was a bit of a mess. Seasoning was a problem. Even though one of the sausages was very salty, you can't fail to season the shrimp. Bland. The sauce was a copious amount of a cream that had lots of spices like black pepper, and maybe mustard seed visible, but was devoid of zing. Bland. The sausage chunks were OK. Again, basic cheery tomatoes. The grits were cleverly prepped in muffin tins, with a nice roasted exterior. Good potential, but again, bland. Dessert sounded good, but we had two strikes against us, and not going to let them serve up a third. Value is becoming my pet peeve. Right after lazy operators. First, LuLu's is not a lazy operation. Conception of the menu is ambitious, care is taken in constructing dishes. But execution was lacking when I was there. Maybe it's my fault for going on a Tuesday evening. But I didn't get the "Tuesday night lowered expectations discount". Eight shrimps, decent size, but at ~$20, I would have like to pay more to be wowed, or less for a smaller plate. Oh, and at these prices, the decor needs work too.

We stopped in here for lunch and my husband and I both ordered from the "specials" menu. He said his fish was really good (I don't each fish so I can't confirm) and my sandwich was ok. We sat in front of the restaurant in the gravel as the very tiny patio on the side was already filled up. Not the best ambiance but for lunch it was ok.
(3)Perry H.
My wife and I dined at LuLu's during our recent visit to Amelia Island. We were not disappointed! Lisa had the "Love on a Plate" salad and the Portabella sandwich. I had the fried oyster appetizer - it was awesome! For my entree, I had a shrimp and scallop dish with red curry Thai sauce. It was delicious and quite spicy. The weather was nice, and we enjoyed dining outside on the patio. Our server was pleasant and attentive to our needs. Amelia Island has many great restaurants, and LuLu's is definitely one of our favorites!
(5)Anna P.
What a find! When we walked into the outdoor dining room, I said to my husband that Lulu's would give us the best meal of our vacation - without a doubt, my initial impression was right on! The hostess/waitress was knowledgeable about the food, super friendly and more than accommodating to my food allergies! She and Lulu's on a whole were the first spot on Amelia island that really understood gluten free needs - and suggested many tasty options that worked for me! We started with the lemongrass steamed clam appetizer and it took all my self control not to drink the broth! Yum:) The local shrimp tacos were delicious, and the beans and rice were super tasty. Very clear that much love and attention goes into making the food at Lulu's. (the chef came outside to chat with us, too!) I'd recommend Lulu's to anyone and can't wait to go back!!!
(5)Kevin G.
Everyone in our group had a different meal and all were outstanding. The crab cakes were the best we have had anywhere and the Cuban was perfect. Highly recommend this place and I would definitely come back.
(4)Kevin H.
Very enjoyable experience. Small quirky place with a cajun feel to the menu. We had the grilled Salmon with rice & asparagus. Sauce was fantastc. Also the Shrimp etouffe, with extra large scallops, rice and veggies. The food was very tasty, with some spice, just right, not too spicy. Small but good wine list. Excellent service, very friendly staff. Definitely be back here!
(4)Gilly L.
Visiting in Amelia Island, this was our first night's dinner. We had the shrimp & grits and the snapper. Both were really really good, especially the shrimp & grits. A lot of thought is put into each dish, things are made from scratch, and the chef knows personally where each item comes from. The wines were very good. The place is tiny, and looks informal - and it really is. But the food is top notch, the service is very kind, and the chef came out to each table to chat for a bit. Bottom line: friendly, casual atmosphere, but food compares to what you would expect from a high-end, fancy restaurant.

I went here with my family while on a short vacation. I actually just got back from the place. Ignore all reviews from before 2010!! This place is absolutely 5 stars and then some. It's also incredibly cheap for the quality of the food. Let me start with a little introduction. Don't be fooled by the modest curb appeal. This place is filled with affordable, gourmet food. They have one standard menu, which consists of salads, sandwiches and po' boys. In addition, they have a menu that changes weekly. The list is impressive. Our, very attentive and friendly server (who we later found out was the partial owner) rattled off a the list of ten specials. One included the artisan salad that my sister and I were going to share. When the server came back with the salad, she brought 2 extra plates for my parents "just in case." And good thing she did! It consisted of a spring mix with roasted sweet potatoes, pecans and feta cheese topped with a vinagrette. We basically licked our plates. It was the perfect preface for what was to come. If you're looking for local seafood this a great choice. All of the shrimp on the menu is from Fernandina and some of the fish too. My family got 2 shrimp po' boys, an oyster po' boy, and shrimp and grits. Let me just say my family has a lot of experience with southern food, especially seafood, and this place blew everything out of the water. This is not an exaggeration. My father is from Charleston, SC and he said the shrimp and grits were "better than anything he's had in Charleston." My shrimp po' boy was actually refreshing, which is hard to imagine considering it's fried shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was oh-so light, and the sauce dizzled on the top was perfection. Truly delicious. We also had the peach cobbler with vanilla icecream for dessert. To die for. Came out steaming hot, with a sprig of mint that they had just picked from their garden. All of the tomatoes, peppers, and herbs came directly from their side garden. Talk about locally grown. Every dish was perfect. The tastes were spot on, and we couldn't stop talking about it. Definitely a meal to be remembered. This place is an absolute must. Don't miss out on the best meal you'll have on Amelia Island.
(5)Angela C.
The food here is excellent. Had the calamari with anaheim chili peppers, flash fried and topped with thai chili sauce, which was absolutely delicious. The crab cake was very big and excellent, being made from pretty much entirely crab meat, and came accompanied with a nice remoulade. Got a house salad to accompany, which was very very fresh and a tasty blend of leafy greens. This place is a must visit if you are on the island, and even if you are just passing nearby. It's very small, and they recommend reservations and I can see why. Definitely make sure to get a reservation here, it's top notch food, in a very quaint setting.
(5)Allix B.
We went to Lulu's on the recommendation that their crab cakes were the best in town. Being crab snobs from Maryland, my parents and I couldn't resist checking this out. We started off with their cheese plate which was amazing. Sounds silly, but it was the best cheese plate I've ever had. When it came time for the crab cakes, we were not disappointed. The chef was great and the crab cakes were both massive and delicious. We finished dinner with a slice of pumpkin cheese cake - also fabulous.

Awesome place! I really enjoyed my outside dining experience at LuLu's. Given a choice I'll take an outside table any time, weather permitting of course. They do a have a small number of inside tables as well. My review is based upon eating here over 3 different occasions. They have a basic "set" menu that you can find on-line, which has some reasonably priced and delicious items, but they also have nightly specials that kick up the creativity a notch or two. We started off with a "kicked-up" caprese salad, which included lightly fried fresh mozzarella and the traditional caprese components. The fried cheese took the already awesome caprese to another level; however it's not a great appetizer for sharing because the portions are rather small and difficult to divide. For sharing appetizers (little plates) I'd recommend the calamari with sweet chili sauce or the green thai curry mussels. The fried oyster appetizer came with only 6 oysters, so that's another app that's not good for sharing in a group. I opted for a spice encrusted grouper fillet with a coconut milk infused rock shrimp sauce, which was totally awesome! My wife went for the shrimp po' boy off the regular menu. The shrimp were sweet and fresh just like wild shrimp should be, and the remoulade sauce was delicious. The fish tacos were disappointing. The portions were ultra meager and the grouper was fishy. Based on my experience I would not order them again. It's not flashy or fancy, but the food was great and the service was wonderful. I'd come back here again and again.
(5)Dietmar D.
As you can read from other reviews the place is charming. Perfect atmosphere for a cute little old town setting. It really doesn't get any better when out exploring little beach town locally owned restaurants. The food was top notch, we had the fish specials, andouille crusted grouper and snapper - unf&):/:& believable. The side vegetables were fantastic as well. The key lime pie sucked. 90% crust. Sorry, but not even close. It's a small place with limited seating so go early or reserve.
(5)Kimberly M.
We ate outside today, and were bitten alive by mosquitos. Everyone recommended the place but we all felt that it was average. The service was good.
(3)Lily W.
What a cute spot to have lunch! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was bright and cheery. We got the remoulade shrimp appetizer which came with several delicious local jumbo and juicy shrimp with a delectable sauce. Hubby got the oyster po'boy and devoured it! I ordered the Nicoise Style Salad with grilled shrimp, which I also really enjoyed. Both our dishes came with a potato salad that was super creamy and yummy, but definitely not fat-free! If we were to come back to Amelia Island again, I would love to come back to try their dinner options.
(4)LisaAnn R.
LuLu's has re-opened with new owners and a great new menu. The bras are no longer hanging up as decor, but the menu is fresh and ever-changing. Everything is made to order and they are especially accommodating to vegetarians.
(5)OrlandoGirl F.
What a great experience! We went for our anniversary. I think each member of the staff came by to wish us a happy anniversary. the owner came by several times to make sure the food was ok and to see if we needed anything. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. I'm a fan!
(4)Pam J.
So many people recommended LuLu's we figured we better try it. We went last night for dinner and it was such a treat we made reservations for tomorrow night. The food was outstanding. For an appetizer we shared fried oysters with horseradish sauce and a crap cake. Both were great. I normally don't like crap cakes but LuLu's was 99% crab, 1% cake. For dinner we shared a dish, shrimp with grits. We shared it because the waitress said it was a little rich and it was but it was so so so good. For desert we shared some type of banana cream pie and it was a perfect ending to our meal. We had two glasses of wine each and the total for our meal with tip was $90 but you could enjoy a meal at LuLu's for much less.
(5)G B.
Made me a convert to holding out for local shrimp. Soooo flavorful you want to eat the shells! Really appreciate how forthcoming they were about which fish were not local that day (still good, I'm sure), and that all the shrimp were. Cozy little place, nice service, superb food. Nice wine, too.
(5)Kim M.
Delicious!!! My husband had the shrimp and grits and raved about it. I had the shrimp tacos and they did not disappoint. Very delicious and a very unique, quiet, charming place.
(5)Llani R.
Had the best calamari ever! My new standard for the appetizer and the "Love on a Plate" is just that! Make a point to visit this place it won't dissapoint.
(5)Nancy L.
Excellent meal !!! 5 of us stopped in after an evening of shopping on Center St. Very cozy atmosphere, we chose to sit inside,(no bugs for us) but outside had lots of tables in a very pretty courtyard. Not a ton of room, but after Labor Day things aren't as crowded, so we had no issue. We had the best waiter, Nick, he was very attentive and was very helpful with the menu items and wine selections. We enjoyed sharing the Caprese salad. Everyone got something with fresh shrimp or fish. We got there after dark and they had run out of scallops already, but what I got instead was so good, I didn't care. We could tweak any dish if we wanted to. One ordered fish and shrimp, and wanted her sh imp fried. No problem. Shrimp Diane and Shrimp & Grits all get our vote. We'll go back again.
(4)Magnus H.
This is a charming little place. They have maybe 5 tables inside and 8 outside under a trellised patio. They have some pretty good beers, all in bottles, i.e. Terrapin, Dogfish Head, etc. We had a muffaleta, soft shell crab sandwich and nicoise salad. All were excellent. It was a gorgeous spring day, so that didn't hurt the cause. The waitress was on top of everything and not a bit overbearing.
(4)Alexia H.
Very cute little place. Nice atmosphere. While the food was very good, I think it was a little overpriced. But I would recommend it for a nice, casual meal. Also, it was pretty busy when we were there and the food took a noticeably long time. Luckily, we ordered the Kicked Up Caprese appetizer to hold us over. And it was delicious!
(4)Daniel G.
This place was great! We had the Cod Po Boy and kicked up Caprese salad and both dishes where amazing! I would definitely recommend.
(5)Victoria C.
This local, out of the way place on 7th is Fantastic! We ordered the "love on a plate" for an appetizer, red beans and rice with andouille sausage and the chicken sandwich with vinegar slaw and spicy pickles. The flavor in each was amazing and as good as you would find at restaurant twice the price. The place is small and the outdoor eating area was perfect on a sunny day like today. I don't recommend places often, and this is my first 5 star in FL.
(5)Tory M.
OMG! You must go tonight....make reservations.....order the flash fried hand cut calamari with Anaheim peppers in a Thai chili sauce, the shrimp and grits in a velvety smooth cream sauce and the scallops perched atop a thick slice of butternut squash with asparagus and fingerling potatoes. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT LEAVING before you have indulged in a slice of Brian's Banofi - banana toffee pie piled high with chantilly laced whipped cream! the entire meal rendered both my husband and I speechless - a feat not to be taken lightly! Thank you so much chef/owners Brian and Melanie!
(5)Susan C.
Ate here tonight after reading reviews and I have to say that the shrimp and grits was AMAZING!!!! I had the calamari as a starter and the portion size was good and the taste was really good. This place is worth the trip!
(5)Steve L.
strange atmosphere, like dining in front of someone's garage in their backyard. food was decent but nothing to rave about.
(3)Jacob M.
Outside dining elevates otherwise average dining. Better choices of similar style nearby. Inexpensive, good but nothing to write home about.
(3)Herman W.
We had: Rock shrimp poboy, shrimp poboy, Nicoise salad. Gluten & food allergy issues handled well. Food was delicious and service was spot on. We'll go back every chance we get!
(5)Lisa R.
Incredible food. Great service. We had calamari, shrimp po boys, dessert, wine and beer. Really delicious. Small and very quaint.
(5)Harry H.
Incredible talent. Do not be put off by the humble approach as this place is clearly among, if not, the best on Fernandina! We are weekly regulars.
(5)Dwayne G.
Had the best dinner here for the 4 nights we were in Fernandina. Highly recommended. A small place a little off the beaten path, but def with seeking it out.
(5)David R.
Stumbled onto this place during an afternoon stroll around downtown Fernandina. Met co-owner Melanie Grimley and based on a pleasant chat with her decided to go back there for dinner. Sure glad we did! Met the other owner/chef (Brian Grimley) when we went back for dinner. He's a great personality and the food was terrific. Had fish tacos with wonderfully fresh cabbage and an oyster Po-boy, with the oysters perfectly fried. For dessert: homemade pumpkin cheesecake (wow!). We ate outside on the patio - the gas heat lamps made it very cozy on a cool evening. Also got a great recommendation from Brian for the Safe Harbor Seafood Market in Mayport!
(5)David M.
Saw the reviews and had to try... The fried Oysters were great as were the unique specials.
(4)a c.
We're part-time residents of AI and Lulu's is always our first stop when we return -- either at the restaurant or takeout. We just had 2 shrimp po' boys....OMG....the best! Love, love this place. Go!
(5)Andrew W.
Three of us had dinner at Lulu's last night, our first visit. We were all very happy with our choices: Shrimp and Grits, Fish Tacos, and Crab Cakes. Nice service by energetic, smiling staff. Nice selection of wines, too, including by the glass. We ate on the patio outside; the inside seating looked less desirable. We will return more than a few times, as the entrees were all appealing to us.
(4)Dee C.
one of my favorite restuarants for sure!!! but small dining room so be sure to call ahead for a party of more than 4 people
(5)Chad T.
Excellent meal! The shrimp and grits really are fantastic. Most notable, however, is the flexibility of the chef. They were quick to offer suggested changes to menu items, adaptations to make regular items more kid friendly, etc... I would not hesitate to recommend the very friendly, intimate, and tasty restaurant.
(4)Taylor W.
I'm almost positive this restaurant has closed. If it hasn't or has re-opened, it was one of my favorite restaurants.
(4)David F.
Really great food. I came here for lunch and ate outside on the patio. The menu had a lot of selection, and they were very accommodating to special orders in my group. Shared a charcuterie to start with, which had three sliced meats and a homemade pate. Then, despite the tantalizing menu, I ordered a special, a phenomenal fried soft shell crab sandwich, which was perfectly cooked and looked beautiful, filling the roll. The other highlight at my table was a special fried rock shrimp poh'boy. This place is worth checking out.
(5)Matt H.
fantastic, unique, clearly family owned. food is filled with pride and homemade goodness. wonderful, family friendly, reasonably priced. enjoy
